This new-build project was such a fun and existing project where we were able to design a house fully in line with our brand's design style: timeless, luxurious and elegant!

The client had specific requests for their home, including a sense of grandeur and a light and bright atmosphere to set the tone for the entire house. They also wanted a state-of-the art lighting fixture installed to drop into the stairwell from the second floor.  After discussing with them, I understood their style to be modern-transitional, incorporating traditional features such as wall paneling with more modern fixtures.

With that in mind, we put the pen to the paper, and came up with an overall plan that incorporated our client's requests, working from the 2 elements that the client already selected: brass light switches and power sockets, and black internal doors. Using these elements as inspiration, we chose to use brass wall sconces to complement the light switches and power sockets. We also incorporated modern floor-to-ceiling wall paneling to balance the traditional look and add a timeless twist to it. To elevate the whole design and create interest, we  painted the inside of the wall panels in a darker shade of grey than the rest of the wall, resulting in a striking contrast. The stairs were finished in black to echo the doors and were paired with a "greige" stair runner.



The end result is a beautifully balanced hallway that exudes grandeur, luxury, and elegance – the perfect tone-setter for the rest of the house.
