The Mill Green Players’ Lounge
A light, contemporary clubhouse lounge designed for golfers to relax, refuel and socialise throughout the day.
The existing clubhouse lounge at Mill Green felt tired and disconnected, with little zoning between casual seating, dining and bar areas. Elisa Design was asked to create a bright, modern “players’ lounge” that would work from early‑morning coffee to post‑round drinks, with a clear flow from the servery to the bar‑height seating and out towards the course views.

THE PLAYERS' LOUNGE & BAR
Flexible Seating, Servery and Course‑Facing Views
The new layout introduces clear zones while keeping the space open and social. A light chevron floor runs throughout, tying together relaxed lounge seating, café‑style tables and a raised bar‑height area where golfers can perch with a drink or plug in a laptop between rounds. Timber slatted walls and soft grey curtains frame the large windows, drawing the eye out to the fairways.
At the servery, white panelling, arched back‑bar details and black pendants create a clean, contemporary focal point, with simple messaging above for breakfast, hot drinks and all‑day refreshments. The chalkboard wall and menu boards add a casual, bistro feel, while integrated power at the bar tables makes the space practical for informal work or meetings.
A central planter with a feature tree anchors the main lounge, surrounded by a mix of upholstered armchairs, sofas and dining chairs so members can choose how they want to sit—whether it’s a quick coffee, a group lunch or watching golf on the screens. The overall effect is a calm, modern clubhouse that feels welcoming, flexible and clearly connected to the course outside.
