After years in the same home—and a period living abroad—the clients felt they had fallen out of love with their bedrooms. The master suite lacked character, the daughter’s room and walk‑through wardrobe needed a more grown‑up feel, and their son’s bedroom no longer reflected his personality. Elisa Design was asked to refresh these key spaces with a modern, luxurious yet minimalist look, using natural, muted colours and carefully designed storage to make each room feel considered and personal again.

THE MASTER BEDROOM
Calm, Modern Sanctuary with Integrated Lighting
The existing master bedroom had good proportions and plenty of storage, but it felt flat and uninspiring. We began by creating a strong focal point behind the bed with textured wallpaper, framed by elegant pendant lights to add depth and softness. The room was rewired so all lighting can be controlled from either side of the bed, adding a layer of hotel‑style comfort and practicality.
Bespoke wardrobes replaced the original units, keeping the lines clean and minimalist while maximising internal storage. In‑cabinet sockets were added to the bedside tables and dresser, allowing devices to be charged out of sight and keeping surfaces clutter‑free.
A palette of natural, muted tones and tactile fabrics completes the scheme, turning the master bedroom into a calm, contemporary retreat the clients can feel proud of again.
THE DAUGHTER'S BEDROOM
Feminine, Moody and Minimalist Suite
This bedroom and walk‑through wardrobe were designed for the clients’ young adult daughter. The brief was to create a space that felt feminine and intimate, with plenty of storage for clothes, shoes and personal pieces, but without feeling fussy.
We embraced a moody, minimalist aesthetic: a darker accent wall adds drama behind the bed, while “greige” tones on the remaining walls and wardrobes keep the room soft and sophisticated. Clean‑lined bespoke joinery provides generous storage and display, and smoked glass panels between the bedroom and wardrobe zone offer privacy while still allowing light to flow.
The result is a grown‑up suite that feels cocooning, stylish and perfectly tailored to its owner.
THE BOY'S BEDROOM RETREAT
Masculine, Modern and Minimalist Space
For the son’s bedroom, the aim was to create a space that felt more like a retreat than a typical child’s room—masculine, modern and uncluttered, but still comfortable and practical. A restrained palette of deeper tones and layered neutrals sets a calm, contemporary mood, while simple, graphic details keep the room feeling fresh.
Bespoke storage ensures everything has a place, from clothes and schoolwork to hobbies, so the room can stay tidy and functional as he grows. Thoughtful lighting and a clear layout create distinct zones for sleep, study and downtime, giving him a space that feels both grown‑up and welcoming.
